A 14-year-old black girl, who is also an aspiring astronaut, has raised over $23,000 to send 1000 girls to go watch Ava Duvernay’s “A Wrinkle In Time” when it opens next month.

Taylor Richardson used the fundraising platform GoFundMe to raise the money because she wanted to inspire young girls.

“I wanted all girls, especially girls of color, to know that they can be whatever they wanna be when they grow up,” she told Good Morning America.  “That they can struggle and have flaws, but still be successful in life.”
