Terrence Howard has claimed on Twitter he’s ‘never been abusive’ to anyone his entire life.

It comes 18 months after the 48-year-old admitted in an interview with Rolling Stone that he hit his ex-wife Lori McCommas.

The actor had a mini Twitter rant on Saturday, apparently in response to a People article that quoted him as saying he had made ‘terrible mistakes in the past’; clarifying that by ‘mistakes’ he meant misplacing his trust, rather than beating up women.

‘When I say that I’ve made mistakes, it is not regarding violence but judgement. Trusting the wrong people!’ he tweeted.

‘I’ve never been abusive to anyone in my entire life. I have loved and paid the price for love. I am the same loving being since day 1!’

The claim seemed to contradict an interview he gave toRolling Stone in September 2015, in which he admitted slapping his first wife Lori in front of their three children.

‘She was talking to me real strong, and I lost my mind and slapped her in front of the kids,’ he said at the time.
