The California Museum is celebrating International Women’s Day in fine style as they host a virtual discussion on the role of motherhood in society and social movements. The event will be held Monday, March 8 at 1:30pm. If your schedule allows, the event would be a perfect mid-day “lunch and learn.”

California’s First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom will be joined by special guests Dr. Shirley N. Weber, California’s first African American Secretary of State and Anna Malaika Tubbs, author of “The Three Mothers: How the Mothers of Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X and James Baldwin Shaped a Nation.” Both guests’ achievements are highlighted in the Museum’s exhibit “Women Inspire: California Women Changing Our World.” Access to the exhibit is FREE with event registration at https://bit.ly/iwd-21
