The Broadway play “The Trip to Bountiful” will soon become a Lifetime TV movie, according to an article on EURWeb.com.
According to the article, the movie will star Vanessa Williams, Cicely Tyson, Cuba Gooding, Jr. and Condola Rashad, with shooting taking place in Atlanta in November.
The play is reportedly set in the 1940s and tells the story of an elderly woman who, despite the wishes of her over-protective family, wants to make her way back to the small town where she grew up. The play depicts her journey and those she meets along the way.
