Tony winner Brian Stokes Mitchell took to social media this afternoon to inform his followers that he has tested positive for coronavirus.
“I’ve been laying low for the last couple of days because I could feel my body fighting something unusual. I just got confirmation that I’ve indeed tested positive for the coronavirus,” Mitchell, who is chairman of The Actors Fund, said in his video message.
Joseph P. Benincasa, CEO of The Actors Fund, said, “Our Chairman’s diagnosis, along with those of so many others in our entertainment community, are just more examples of why it is vitally important that we each do everything we can to slow the spread of this virus. We are sending Stokes and his family love and good wishes as he continues on his path to recovery–along with our well wishes to everyone facing this virus.”
