Community members can vote now until July 3 for which of the five finalists of the Downtown Sacramento Foundation’s (DSF) “Calling All Dreamers” they would like to see become a real business in downtown Sacramento.
The DSF selected five finalists from the nearly 50 Sacramento area entrepreneurs that entered this year’s contest. The five finalists are:
- Andy’s Candy Apothecary — high-end candy store
- Benjamins Shoes Corporation — men’s custom shoe store
- The Cold Press Juicery — organic juice cafe
- The Dailey Method — barre exercise studio
- 6C Rock Candy — a clothing boutique and music recording studio
Visit dreamerswelcome.org to watch videos on each of the finalists and cast your vote.
Once the public voting period ends on July 3, the finalists will each conduct a final pitch to a selection panel on July 8 in hopes to win a prize package valued at $135,000, which includes free rent in a downtown storefront, start-up capital and professional services. The winner is expected to be named in mid July.
