About 35,000 children were expected to attend the annual Easter Egg Roll on the White House lawn today, according to an article on USAToday.com.

In its 135th year, this year’s event promoted a healthy lifestyle with the theme “Be Healthy, Be Active, Be You!”

Participants of the egg roll reportedly come from all across the country, having been selected through a special lottery.

And a number of celebrities were also scheduled to be on hand, including “Beasts of the Southern Wild” actress Quvenzhane Wallis and Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson.
