Whoopi Goldberg will reportedly be making her directorial debut with the a new HBO documentary on African-American stand-up comedian Jackie “Moms” Mabley, according to an article on TheGrio.com.
“Whoopi Goldberg Presents Moms Mabley” will reportedly tell the story of the comic, who performed from Vaudeville to TV until her death at age 81 in 1975. The documentary will reportedly premiere Monday, November 18 at 9pm.
