Oprah Winfrey and OWN are reportedly being sued by a former employee who claims she was let go because she was pregnant, according to an article on EURWeb.com.
According to the article, the former employee — Carolyn Hommel — was hired in 2010 as senior director of scheduling and acquisitions and was on track to become a vice president before she became pregnant. When on medical leave to have her baby, she was replaced by a temporary employee. Once back at the job, Hommel says her duties became less and less until she was finally fired a month after giving birth.
