A confidant of Stephon Clark’s family and long time advocate for police reform in the State of California Rev. Shane Harris a national civil rights activist & President of the People’s Alliance for Justice will speak to California Justice Department officials Monday morning and will deliver a hand held letter to California Attorney General Xavier Becerra’s Sacramento Headquarters urging him to charge the officers involved in the killing of Stephon Clark after Sacramento District Attorney Anne Marie Schubert decided not to press charges this past Saturday. Rev. Harris lead the rebuttal press conference with Salena Manni the mother of Stephon Clark’s two children Saturday night following the DA’s announcement. Now Rev. Harris says the pressure is on California AG Becerra to fully get involved and prosecute the two officers involved in the shooting. Harris will be joined by several Sacramento,CA ministers and leaders of his Sacramento chapter of the People’s Alliance for Justice. Harris has been a force leading the effort in California Statewide to call for independent investigations on police shootings. He plans to kick the week of protests off in Sacramento, CA by delivering this timely letter urging the State AG to prosecute officers before the one year anniversary of Stephon Clark.
