The work to save the lives of African American children in the Sacramento region continues to gather steam, with the selection of the final community-based group that will join the effort.
The Steering Committee on Reduction of African American Child Deaths (RAACD) this week, announced the final of seven Community Incubator Leads (CILs) for the initiative to reduce the number of Sacramento County’s African American child mortalities. The Focus on Family Foundation, Inc., located at the Antioch Progressive Baptist Church, will serve as a CIL, a community-based organization that provides social services to local residents within each of the focus neighborhoods to implement the efforts of the Steering Committee on RAACD.
