Media Alert: 5th Street to Temporarily Close as DOCO Plaza West Construction Continues

Sacramento, Calif. — As construction continues on Downtown Commons (DOCO) Plaza West, 5^thStreet between L and J Street will be temporarily closed to facilitate steel deliveries and additional improvements. Beginning Wednesday, May 10, 5^thStreet will be closed to vehicles and pedestrians through Monday, July 3.

The arena’stransportation management planwill not be impacted by the 5^thStreet closure and all temporary transportation diversions will remain in place for events over 10,000 guests.

To avoid congestion and detours, guests are encouraged to plan their routes and use alternative modes of transportation and services – Regional Transit, ride share and complimentary bike valet at Cesar Chavez Park for select events.

Detours:                                             Westbound J St.: Continue to 7^thStreet Southbound to connect with L St. 

Eastbound L St.: Continue to 3^rdStreet Southbound to connect with L St.
