A Town Hall meeting has been organized in Elk Grove, California in partnership with local business owners and residents that include: Sharie Wilson, Summer Thomas and Linda White.  
 
Elk Grove residents, we heard you and want to start the dialogue on race relations, implicit bias and ideas on how we move forward as a NO PLACE FOR HATE community. Join us for the first town hall meeting and let your voice be heard. Hear firsthand from local business owners and residents on their experience with race relations as well as presentations from the Elk Grove Police Department and other City staff. 
 
The meeting will be hosted by Councilmembers Darren Suen and Patrick Hume and facilitated by Alana Mathews. The Town Hall meeting will take place on Mon-10/23 at 6 pm at Elk Grove Park Pavilion, 9950 Elk Grove-Florin Road in Elk Grove, CA 95624.  Register online now at http://elkgrovetownhall.eventbrite.com
 
Attendees will be the first to learn about the city’s HUMANITY campaign and will be encouraged to take the pledge against hate. Future meeting dates include Monday, October 30 and Monday, November 6, 2017.
