A recent study says full-time employed women in Sacramento are paid 84 cents for every dollar paid to men, according to an article on SacBee.com.

The study, conducted by the National Partnership for Women & Families based on US Census data, says the wage gap in the Sacramento region amounts to a loss of more than $2.2 billion in income every year.

According to the article, the study found women in California are paid 85 cents for every dollar paid to men, with African-American women receiving 64 cents for every dollar paid to white, non-Hispanic men.
