On September 14, 2015, eight EWGA Sacramento Chapter members participated in the Swing 4 the Kids Fourth Annual Charity Golf Tournament, held at Teal Bend Golf Course. EWGA participated in this fun scramble last year and it was even more successful with nearly 80 players. The Sacramento Valley Section – National Council of Negro Women, Inc. uses the funds for its Children of Promise Community Outreach Conference. The conference helps parents and caretakers of underserved children raise healthy, nurtured, supported and informed future community members.
EWGA members led three of the four women’s teams. Member Linda Fitzgerald’s team took second place! Linda was also the only woman to win one of four closest to the pin contests!
EWGA was proud sponsor of Hole #16 and there was lots of interest in the EWGA FAQ handouts. Though no player awards were received both Team Lukka and Team Stewart took home lots of raffle prizes and had a great time playing for a good cause on a beautiful course!
