2018 Young Women's Summit & Scholarship Awards

Today's young women are tomorrow's leaders and business owners. We look to celebrate their present and future with the 2018 Young Women's Summit, part of the 2018 Exceptional Women of Color Conference. Young women of color, ages 8-21, are invited to participate in this one-day Summit featuring discussions and activites on what topics are important to them right now, and what they need to know to realize their full potential in the future. Interactive workshops and panel presentations will focus on: education and technology, career & job development, social media etiquette, protection against sex trafficking, breast cancer awareness, entrepreneurship, and how to save money.

The Y-EWOC Young Exceptional Women of Color Scholarship Competition

• Are in good academic standing at an institution of learning;
• Plan to pursue some type of higher education, be it at a university, college or vocational school;
• Demonstrate work in the community;
• And can answer the question, “What Makes an Exceptional Woman of Color?”

Submission
Submissions must include the following in PDF form:

• Completed Y-EWOC Scholarship Competition Application Form - CLICK HERE to download the form
• Copy of your last transcript or report card in 2018
• One letter of reference – can either be a character reference by someone you know, or a teacher/mentor reference (reference cannot be from someone related to you)
• Resume (e.g. - list of your achievements, hobbies, awards received, any job or volunteer experience)
