Applications are now available and being accepted until June 18, 2012, for the 2012 African-American Leaders for Tomorrow Program (AALTP), a division of the California Legislative Black Caucus Policy Institute.

This week-long residential summer program is held on the campus of Sacramento State and is open to students currently in good academic standing as of January 1, 2012, and are eligible to graduate in 2013 or 2014 with a 2.5 or higher GPA. Fifty students will be hand-selected to attend the program and will receive leadership training, and attend workshops on subjects such as financial literacy, effective leadership, and the importance of community advocacy.

Students will live on campus at Sacramento State during the program and will be provided housing, meals, and program materials for no cost.

Applications are currently available and the deadline for application submission is June 18, 2012. The conference will be held July 21-28, 2012.
