Applications are now available for the 2012 Citizens Academy. This free program provides participants with an overview of the criminal justice system – such as the roles and challenges of law enforcement, District Attorney, and judiciary – and devotes three classes to diversity and race issues within the framework of the criminal justice system. The program begins April 10 and runs for 10 week. Classes are held every Tuesday from 6-8:30pm at the Sacramento Police Department headquarters.
