Some State departments are hiring temporary seasonal clerk employees, according to an email from a City of Sacramento employee.
According to the email, anyone may apply for these positions, but priority will be given to any person receiving state public assistance under the CalWORKs program (write “CalWORKs recipient” in the comments area of the application). The minimum qualifications for these jobs is the ability to read and write English and do simple arithmetic calculations.
Each department has their own announcements. To find them, visit www.jobs.ca.gov and search for “seasonal clerk” in the job title.
