ABOUT OUR GUESTS:

OLIVIA KASIRYE, M.D. is the Sacramento County Public Health Officer and Public Health Officer of City of Elk Grove. Dr. Kasirye has over 20 years of experience including her work as the Medical Director of the Sacramento County Child Health and Disability Prevention program and the Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health program and as the Communicable Disease Controller. Dr. Kasirye received a Medical Degree from the Makerere University Medical School in Kampala, Uganda. She also has a Master of Science degree in Epidemiology from the University of California, Davis. She is Board Certified in Public Health and General Preventative Medicine. She had been employed by El Dorado County Department of Health and Human Services as the Public Health Officer since August 2009. 

LES SIMMONS is a Pastor at South Sacramento Christian Center. He serves as the Director for Black Child Legacy Campaign (Valley Hi CIL), a board member for Sacramento Act, Mack Road Partnership and is a part of the PICO strategic planning committee. Director of the Simmons Community Center (historically known as Cal Skate) used for alternative to violence trainings, youth mentoring, night walk coordination, basketball programs, skating, health/wellness programs and more; he continues to lean forward in serving his community. He is a husband, father, community leader who is passionate about the work that he is doing for his community.
