Splash Mountain is closing at Disneyland. Is the ‘Song of the South’ story finally going away?

Disneyland first announced changes to Splash Mountain nearly two years ago, with an intention to make the ride more inclusive. Both the Disneyland and Walt Disney World attractions are being closed for “refurbishment,” leaving fans to wonder whether the racist “Song Of The South” theming is finally coming to an end.
