I don’t know about you, but when I’m traveling, even on business, I like most, if not all, of the comforts of home without paying an arm and a leg for them. During a recent junket to the Bay Area, I hit pay dirt in that regard at the Marriott in San Mateo. The facility’s management, if not the chain’s, might not like that descriptor, as they bill the place as the Marriott AT the San Francisco Airport.
Make no mistake: the place is a ten minute drive to SFO. But if you’re willing to take a short trip from baggage claim to where you’re going to call it a night, this Marriott will make it worth the time and effort.
