Plumas National Forest recognizes “Tuskegee Airmen”
USDA Forest Civil Right Officer, Sonya M. Jones, in conjunction with the Quincy Arts are premiering the new film “Red Tails” in Quincy, CA on Feb 29, 2012. This is a historic event to the Plumas National Forest and the Quincy Community. The event will show case the film in alignment with the Federal Black History Month theme “Black Women in American Culture and History”.  Sacramento’s own Mrs. Edith Roberts widow of Col. George “Spanky” Robert Commander of the 555 Fighter Squadron and 5 of the original Tuskegee Airmen will discuss the depiction of their lives as viewed in the film.  Read more
