Community Grants from Best Buy Children’s Foundation. Supports local communities with the Community Grants Program that is led by employee committees in each of our eight territories across the United States. Employees select non-profit organizations that support programs and services that provide opportunities for young teens related to education, life skills, leadership skills or relationship development. This year, Best Buy Children’s Foundation will give $1 million through the Community Grants Program. Grant amounts will average $5000-$7000, not to exceed $10,000. … Each store has the discretion to support local nonprofit organizations with donations of product or gift cards. Donations come directly from local Best Buy stores to support 501c3 organizations within 50 miles of the store, including , schools, libraries and after-school clubs. Deadline to apply is 6/15/09.
