“The Show” poetry series is every last Saturday of the month from 7-9 pm. THE SHOW with live band LSB is not just a poetry series, it’s an artistic experience and Northern California’s BIGGEST poetry event! On Sat-11/29 The Show will feature poets Phoenyx Reign from Washington D.C., Daniel Blake, SOL, E-Legal Tagteam, 15 year old Charrelle Mabry, plus gospel hip-hop artist Izreal + band. Enjoy free coffee, water and sweet rolls. Taking place at Wo’se Community Center 2863 35th Street off 35th and Broadway in Oak Park, Sacramento. All artists (poets, singers, musicians, comedians, etc.) are encouraged to

Panel discussion from 4–5 pm on No Boundaries – Globalizing Health Care from Haiti to California and Beyond. The Sacramento Allstars will perform at the special “SHOW” poetry series Christmas Jam! Voted Sacramento’s best dance team at the 2007 Hub Choice Awards. From Cali to New York, Sac Allstars Street Team can’t be stopped. With 55% of the votes, it was a well deserved win with declared once again for the third time as 2007 National Champions. In 2007 Sacramento Allstars WINS at 106 and PARK on BET!  November 13-15 – Youth Civic Leadership Training Conference

8th Annual Black Youth Vote! Civic Leadership Training Conference
Black youth are getting prepared all around the country with become more politically engaged and educated about public policy and legislation in Washington. The BYV-Black Youth Vote will hold a conference to train young leaders and activists on how to impact public policy and hold elected officials accountable. The conference includes a legislative briefing on Capitol Hill, panel discussions and workshops designed to prepare participants to execute a Black youth agenda during first 100 days of the new administration.
