SOL presents RT Smoke Free Celebration and Chalk Art Contest. Sunday, April 6, 2014 from 2PM – 5PM at the Meadowview LIght Rail Station. SOL will celebrate Sacramento Regional Transit District’s new 100% smoke-free policy with a sidewalk chalk art contest and tobacco litter clean up at the Meadowview Light Rail Station on Meadowview Road and Tisdale Way in Sacramento. The contest is open to all, but teens ages 13 to 18 are encouraged to participate. The theme is “Celebrate RT Smoke-Free”. We will provide art supplies and snacks. Art will need to be photographed and placed on our Facebook page for voting. The first place winner will receive a $50 gift card and a 2nd and 3rd place winner will receive a $25 gift card each. SOL partnered with Sacramento Regional Transit on their new policy and to thank them and raise awareness for the new policy, SOL is sponsoring this event. For those interested in quitting tobacco, SOL will also be providing free quit smoking kits and other information. Please plan on attending this fun-filled family event!
