The California State Fair is looking for the oldest businesses in California’s largest industry – agriculture – to be considered for the prestigious California Agricultural Heritage Club (CAHC).

Any agricultural business or affiliate, including farms, ranches, equipment dealers, accountants, trade or marketing organizations, universities/colleges, irrigation districts and others, are invited to apply for induction into the elite association. The deadline for submitting an application is Friday, May 27, 2011. The CAHC application can be downloaded from the State Fair’s website at http://www.bigfun.org/competition-adult.php. Honorees will be informed if their application has been accepted by Friday, June 10, 2011.

CAHC members receive a plaque of recognition and a special invitation to the State Fair’s Annual Induction Ceremony and Brunch specifically for designees. The 2011 event, co-sponsored by the California Exposition & State Fair, the California Farm Bureau Federation, California Grain and Feed Association, California Farmer Magazine and the California Milk Advisory Board is scheduled for Friday, July 29, 2011. Honoree guests are invited to attend the event for $25.00 per person which includes parking, fair admission and the Recognition Ceremony and Brunch.
