8th Annual Sacramento Community Book Discussion special event under the auspices of the UC Davis 2021-22 Campus Community Book Project (CCBP) taking place on Wed-Feb 23rd from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at The Guild Theatre, 2828 35th Street in Sacramento. This event is free and open to the public. Face masks will be required to attend event.

Discussion Theme: “If You Do Nothing, Racial Inequality Persists” – based on How to Be an Antiracist by Boston University history professor Ibram X. Kendi as his book discusses concepts of racism and Kendi’s proposals for anti‐racist individual actions and systemic changes. Guest speakers at the 8th Annual Sacramento Community Book Forum – Q&A Panel Session will include:

  • Moderated by Rev. Kevin Kitrell Ross, Senior Minister and Chief Executive Officer of Unity of Sacramento Church
  • Kula Koenig – Founder of the Social Justice PolitiCorps and Senior Local Policy Director for Public Health Advocates
  • Dr. Milmon F. Harrison – Associate Professor African/African American Studies, UC Davis
  • Dominique Donnette – Public Affairs Specialist, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP)
