Actor / Director Alfonso Ribeiro Coming to Sacramento June 20-21

Today’s TV audiences know Alfonso Ribeiro as the winner of season 19 of Dancing With The Stars, and are looking forward to his new gig as host of ABC’s America’s Funniest Home Videos.   A generation ago, we knew him as the adorable co-star of Silver Spoons, or the hysterical Carlton Banks on The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.  Still earlier, he was the adorable kid who moonwalked with Michael Jackson in a now-iconic Pepsi TV commercial.

However you know Ribeiro, he’s looking forward to meeting you at next weekend’s Wizard World Comic Con, to be held June 19-21 at Sacramento’s Convention Center. 

Ribeiro, 43, is really looking forward to meeting fans in Sactown.

“This is the fourth time that I’ve ever done anything like this, “Ribeiro told me, “so I’m brand new to this kind of event where I get to meet fans face-to-face and shake hands and take pictures and that kind of stuff.  I did one last week in Niagra Falls, and it was a lot of fun.  I’m excited to meet all of the fans in Sacramento!” 

Ribeiro will be waiting to meet you on Saturday and Sunday during the three-day event.  Several other pop cultural icons will be there, as well.  Additional information on the event is available at wizardworld.com.
