Apply for a Shine award for your next community project

When communities work together, good things happen. That’s why SMUD has Shine. Nonprofits can apply for neighborhood beautification, education or energy efficiency projects to improve and revitalize neighborhoods served by SMUD.

Our Shine awards range from $5,000 to $100,000. Applicants must be nonprofit organizations 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(6) and awards are competitive and funds are limited.
