Black Sacramento COVID-19 Virtual Town Hall Series – Black Youth Town Hall, 7/9 and 7/10

SOS! Calling Black Youth ages 14-21!

Are you tired of posting on Instagram about injustice and uncertainty?

Want to take action making impactful changes in the communities you live in and soon will run?

Join a youth led SAFE SPACE and let your voice be heard.  Come share your thoughts and feelings on police brutality, violence in the community, school closures, social distancing and the many other ways COVID19 has reshaped your now and forever.

Come dialogue with Sacramento’s own youth leaders, Khalil Ferguson, author of Subservience and the Measure U Advisory Commissioner at the City of Sacramento and KariJay, international artist and poet as they enrich the conversation and share strategies of organizing and movement building.

Learn coping skills from Dr. Kristee Haggins, a community healer whose work accounts for the impact of racial stress and trauma on Black bodies.  Dr. Haggin’s work has focused on Black mental health and wellness for over 25 years.  She is also one of the founding members of Safe Black Space in Sacramento.
