CONFERENCE: Celebrating the Aging Journey: Affirming the Beauty and Wisdom of Our Years

Whether you’re in your Fabulous 40’s, Phenomenal 50’s, Sensual 60’s, Sensational 70’s, Elegant 80’s or beyond, “Celebrating the Aging Journey: Affirming the Beauty and Wisdom of Our Years” addresses issues Black women face as we care for ourselves and our loved ones.  Taking place on Sat-2/24 from 8:30 am to 5 pm at the Dr. Ephraim Williams Family Life Center, 4036 14th Avenue in Sacramento.

Bolstering Our Brain Health to Increase Protective Factors Against Alzheimer’s and Dementia (Presenter: Craig Wingate, Northern California Alzheimer’s Association)
Incorporating Mindfulness in Our Lives to Manage the Stressors of Being Black Women in America (Presenter: Yvonne Evans, Creativity Coach and Visual Artist)

In the spirit of Sankofa, we will also honor and learn from revered community elders who will mentor us with their wisdom for aging with grace and elegance.
