INDIVIDUAL & FAMILY ENROLLMENT EVENT – Thursday, Jan 15 from 1 pm to 8 pm
You have exactly 30 days from 1/15/15 to get enrolled for health insurance through Covered California. Don’t wait, BEAT THE DEADLINE, enroll by 1/15/15 and be insured with health insurance to see the doctor on 2/1/15.
Let us HELP you beat the long lines, respond to your questions in-person and address any computer issues that you have been having with enrollment for Covered California. When you attend the Individual & Family Enrollment Event on Thurs-1/15 from 1 pm to 8 pm, you or one of your family members maybe eligible to receive a FREE PHONE (with unlimited talk and text (for income applicants eligible for Medi-Cal, SSI, TANF, WIC, SNAP – sponsored by Cal Telecom Services). Certified Enrollment Counselor (CECs) will be available in person to provide the assistance you need to complete the online enrollment application process. Enroll by Jan 15th and have health insurance coverage start Feb 1st.
Prepare to bring the following items for onsite enrollment for yourself and your family members:
Proof of Income (Check Stub or 2014 Tax Statements)
CA ID or Driver’s License
US Passport, Legal Resident Card, Certificate of Citizenship or Naturalization Documentation
Proof of residendence (e.g. – Utility bill)
Birthdates & Social Security Numbers
There will be a penalty when you file your taxes if you don’t have health insurance or an exemption. In 2015, the penalty will be 2% of your yearly household income or $325 per adult (and $162.50 per child under 18), up to $975 per family, whichever is higher.
