Indivizible Speakers Series Welcomes John Hope Bryant
Monday, August 18, 2014 The Guild Theater 6:00pm-7:30pm 2828 35th Street, Sacramento CA 95817
Operation HOPE, Inc. (HOPE) Founder, Chairman and CEO John Hope Bryant joins Indivizible to discuss ideas from his new book How the Poor Can Help Save Capitalism.
Widely recommended, the book highlights solutions to increase financial inclusion by creating economic opportunities, and instilling hope in America’s struggling economic majority.
Bryant will explain the history and psychology behind the three factors that perpetuate poverty: lack of self confidence and self-esteem; lack of positive role models; and lack of opportunity.
For each of these three challenges, Bryant presents specific, doable solutions—and provides real-life examples of organizations and individuals who are making remarkable progress at the grassroots level. He bolsters his positive plan of action with fascinating statistics and findings from the annual Gallup-HOPE Index, the only national research poll devoted to young people’s behavioral economics.
