SHRA is changing lives, making housing better, and building one of Sacramento’s newest neighborhoods.

For more than 80 years, the Sacramento Housing Authority has provided safe, affordable, decent housing for working families, seniors and disabled residents, and for those who, but for the Public Housing Program, might find themselves living on the streets.

As the City and County of Sacramento’s lead housing organization, SHRA administers the federal public housing program for Sacramento. SHRA is committed to giving housing program residents the opportunity to reach their full potential, and ensuring the long term financial sustainability of this valuable housing asset.
