Don’t miss this wonderful testimonial and discussion on “Renewing your strength in time of adversity: The victorious breast cancer journey of Wendy Petko”.  There is no cost to attend these forums. Healthy refreshments will be served.

WHY ATTEND our forums? We want you to be informed (whether or not if you have been diagnosed with breast cancer). According to Susan G. Komen’s African American Initiative, “breast cancer is the most common cancer among African American women and is the second leading cause of cancer death among African American women, exceeded only by lung cancer”. If you are an African American woman who has been diagnosed with breast cancer or in remission and in need of more resources along with real sistah talk and support, RSVP to attend and/or reach out to us at (916) 234-3589. Save the dates for remaining dates of forums scheduled for this year: Wed-8/23 and Wed-11/15 at Capsity.  Encouraging all women of color to attend. This will be Sistahs Saving Sistahs intro forum to “LET’S TALK ABOUT IT!” with breast cancer education info and sharing resources. Be sure to pass this info on to those who are need of these resources. Bring your sister, daughter, aunt, grandmother, and/or friend to attend.

Sponsorship opportunities are available. For more info contact Strategic Marketing Coordinator, Twlia Laster at (916) 662-3502 or e-mail contact@sacculturalhub.com.  Presented in partnership by the Sistahs SAVING Sistahs program of Sac Cultural Hub Media Foundation and Susan G. Komen Sacramento Valley.
