The Legendary Isley Brothers Bring Their 60th Anniversary Tour To Modesto This Weekend!

by Michael P Coleman

The legendary Isley Brothers are gonna make us wanna shout at the Gallo Center for the Arts in Modesto this Saturday night!

The band is great at working a crowd into a frenzy.  They should be: they’ve been at it for six decades.

It’s that 60th anniversary that’s bringing them to the valley, and it’s a concert that’s not to be missed.

“We’re going to play everything,” Ernie Isley EXCLUSIVELY told me a couple of weeks ago, of the August 17th concert.  “If people didn’t love us, we wouldn’t have been around for 60 years, so we’re gonna do it all!”

C’mon now:  “Harvest For The World” “Between The Sheets” “Caravan Of Love” “That Lady” “Twist and Shout” “For The Love Of You” “Work To Do” “Summer Breeze” “This Old Heart Of Mine (Is Weak For You)” “It’s Your Thing” “Voyage to Atlantis”

Shall I go on?  If I do, I’ll start singing, and trust me: you don’t want that!  Let’s let The Isley Brothers do that for us — see you tomorrow night in Modesto!
