This Thurs-6/15 Don’t miss the Spoken word Competition at the Youth Safety & Opportunity Festival

Don’t miss the youth spoken word competition at the Youth Safety & Opportunity Festival at Cesar Chavez Park on June 15 hosted by the Black Child Legacy Campaign.  Two winners will be awarded $500 scholarships.  The festival will include live entertainment, food trucks and art labs, including a graffiti wall, breakdancing and art demonstrations.  The event is part of Sacramento’s 15th Annual Juneteenth celebration in honor of Freedom Day when African-American slaves were emancipated.
 
Taking place on Thurs-6/15 from 2-6 pm at Cesar Chavez Park in Sacramento.  FREE admission for everyone! Bring your friends and family.
