“Voices of our Elders” – 6-part video series presented by Sacramento Juneteenth, Inc.

Sacramento Juneteenth,Inc. invites you to attend the premiere showing of our six- part video series “Voices of our Elders”.  Taking place on Sat-8/18 at the California Museum from 2 pm to 4 pm located at 1020 O Street in Downtown Sacramento.  

The premiere will feature the life of Mrs. Marteal Perry.  Sydni Davenport will share her grandmothers story.  Mrs. Perry founded Santa Rosa’s Juneteenth Festival in 1954, which Ms. Davenport continues today.  Mrs. Perry worked tirelessly for the underserved of Santa Rosa. She represented the community on clean water issues, child welfare and many other social issues. She was a staple in the Santa Rosa community. In addition to the video series we will host interactive discussions on self- improvement, self-image and cultural pride.  

On street parking or a parking garage($5 cash) is available across the street. We look forward to seeing you.
