Fans of Martin Lawrence are already excited for his return in Bad Boys 3 with partner in crime (fighting) Will Smith, and now he’ll be returning for a stand-up special on Showtime.

Showtime announced it would air Lawrence’s first stand-up special in 14 years since 2002’s Runteldat. Just so you understand how long it’s been, that stand-up special preceded Bad Boys 2, which came out in 2003. But good things come to those who wait. According to Showtime, the special—Martin Lawrence Doin’ Time: Uncut—will feature “impressions and insights” on “everything from sex and relationships to President Obama, Bill Cosby, Hollywood and more.”

Lawrence addressed racism in his 1994 stand-up special You So Crazy and was in disbelief that it still existed. He also talked about police brutality victim Rodney King and the riots that ensued in the year before the special. Given the current national discussion on police brutality, race, and more, perhaps he’ll take it head on again.
