Vanessa Williams married Jim Skrip on Saturday in New York during a private ceremony with friends and family. The Fourth of July wedding comes after the couple dated for about a year, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Williams, 52, previously boasted about Skrip after meeting him during a vacation in Egypt nearly three years ago. Vanessa fell in love with Jim after their first date.
“You never know what you’ll find and where you’ll find it,” she said. “I was on vacation with my daughter going to Egypt, cruising on the Nile. I wasn’t looking for anything. I’d been alone for a number of years and divorced for 10 years at that time.”
