The History Channel is planning to remake the 1977 miniseries “Roots,” according to an article on Deadline.com.
According to the article, the History Channel purchased the rights to original “Roots” and are planning an eight-hour miniseries reboot that will be inspired by both the book, “Roots: The Sage of An American Family” and the original miniseries.
