The sound of silence.

That’s what we’re hearing from tech’s biggest names about their industry’s woeful record on diversity in the workforce and the urgent need to improve it.

So far, not a peep from Google CEO Larry Page, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Twitter CEO Dick Costolo or Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer.

But instead of getting pithy quotes from the top bosses – as we routinely do with every product announcement, earnings report and multibillion-dollar acquisition – we get blog posts from human resources people in charge of diversity.

At least they weighed in. Tech’s titans are mum.
