8th annual Sacramento Community Book Discussion – UC Davis Campus Community Book Project

…was held on Feb 23rd at The Guild Theatre in Sacramento regarding the book “How to Be Anti-Racist”, by Boston University history professor Ibram X. Kendi.

We celebrated 20 years in business with presenting the 20th Anniversary Sac Hub Gala Celebration on Thurs-Mar 10th at Old Sugar Mill with guest star performance by Club Nouveau.

Big Day of Giving 2022


Our Foundation raised over $2,500 in the annual 2022 Big Day of Giving campaign on May 5th where $13.4 million dollars was raised in the Sacramento Region with over 30,000 donors.

Black Physicians Forum

…was broadcasted on June 6th via Facebook Live. This year’s topic was “Race, Aging Adult Vulnerabilities, & Long Term Care,” presented by national Keynote Presenter, Dr. Jean Accius, Senior Vice President of Global Thought Leadership at AARP. Serving as Moderator was Dr. Thomas Hopkins.

Community Outreach Award

Pleshette Robertson, Founder of was presented with the Community Outreach Award at the 40th Annual Sac NAACP Prayer Breakfast on April 15th at the DoubleTree Hotel in Sacramento.

Stop The Hate Campaign

Sac Cultural Hub Media Foundation is one several organizations to be awarded (July 1, 2022-June 30, 2023) as a grantee for the Stop The Hate campaign which has been made possible with funding from the California State Library (CSL) in partnership with the California Commission on Asian and Pacific Islander American Affairs (CAPIAA).

14th Annual Exceptional Women of Color (EWOC) Awards & Expo

… was held on September 20th at DoubleTree Hotel in Sacramento with Keynote Speaker, KiKi Ayers – Founder and CEO of Ayers Publicity. There were 16 amazing women who were honored with 2022 EWOC Excellence Awards. Three students were presented with the Young Women of Color (Y-EWOC) scholarships in the amount of $500 each.
