The 22nd Annual Center for African Peace & Conflict Resolution Peace Awards will be held Saturday, April 27, 2013 in Elk Grove.

Presented by the California State University, Sacramento (CSUS) College of Health & Human Services Center for African Peace & Conflict Resolution, in collaboration with the Pan African Studies, the Awards will feature a keynote presentation by His Excellency Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, governor of Niger State, Nigeria, on “Health, Peace and Community Development in Northern Nigeria.”

Peace Awardees are scheduled to include Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, Dr. Anvarali Velji of Kaiser Permanente, Ray Lozada of Sacramento County Probation, and the California Black Health Network.

The Peace Awards will take place at the Holiday Inn & Express Ballroom, 9175 W. Stockton Blvd., in Elk Grove. Reception begins at 6:30pm, with dinner, lecture, awards and dance beginning 7:30pm. Reserved tables for 10 people are $650 each, general tickets $50 each.
