Cee Lo Green originally recorded the long-reigning No. 1 hit and “he sounded amazing on it,” Williams says. “But … how do I say this diplomatically? The powers that be, at the time, did not see it fit for him,” instead electing that Green focus on his Cee Lo’s Magic Momentalbum, the Forget You singer’s 2012 Christmas release.
