The Smithsonian Magazine recently announced the finalists in its 10th annual photo contest, including amazing photos from all around the world in the categories the natural world, travel, people, Americana, and altered images.
This year’s finalists include an image of the Milky Way rising up from behind Mount Rainier in Washington State, a gorilla at the Bronx Zoo in New York City, and people harvesting salt in Vietnam.
