According to an article on HuffingtonPost.com, a new study says an estimated 700,000 young minority voters could be barred from voting in November becaues of photo ID laws passed across the country in recent years.

The study, created by the Black Youth Project, says many states have passed stricter voting laws that include cutting early voting options and adding photo ID requirements. However, minorities as less likely to have government-issued ID – in fact, 25 percent of African Americans lack such identification, according to the article.
