Fashion watch and accessory brand YB Limited and the School Supply Initiative (SSI) have teamed up to benefit Bay Area schools through the sale of watches.
For each watch sale from a local retailer, YB will purchase a school supply kit for one low-income Bay Area student.
There are reportedly more than 3.5 million public school students in California enrolled in the Free or Reduced Price Meal program, and these students struggle to afford the basic yet critical instructional materials necessary for a quality education.
SSI is a nonprofit operating under the largest free school and dental supply program in California, and addresses this material resource gap by providing under-resourced students with $65-75 valued grade-appropriate school supply kits for free.
