SACRAMENTO — Nineteen nonprofit workers will split $723,452 in Powerball winnings, the California Lottery announced Monday.

Fernando Loyola buys tickets for the group every time the Powerball jackpot gets big, according to the Lottery. He and his 18 peers work for three different nonprofits: Sierra Health Foundation, Community Charities of California and Sacramento Covered.

Each nonprofit is next door to each other.
